Will ANC finally have its match… and will it be AKSYONtv?

For the past 14 years, the ABS-CBN News Channel has been there alone, on top. It has been there throughout all the national events that we have experienced during the time the channel has been on-air. ANC has witnessed the Inauguration of three presidents, countless typhoons & natural disasters, tragedies & victories, an impeachment trial and a Second People Power. But Starting 2011, Will ANC finally have its match?

Ang Hinanakit sa mga Taga-Patrol ng Pilipino

Here is my first post filed under the Blending In category, and even though it’s related to TV5, specifically TV5 News and Information (also known as News5), it will be a little more about what is happening within the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs Division (NCAD).

For those who are not aware of what is happening within ABS-CBN, after just a week of rumours and speculations, from Pinoy Entertainment Portal (PEP), to Media Newser Philippines (MNP)… Hell, it became a blind item on Cristy Fermin’s column on the tabloid newspaper Bulgar! But earlier today, it was finally confirmed by ABS-CBN News.

P-Noy Briefing: I need a breather!

Earlier, President Benigno Aquino III has called up the Philippine media, and organise an interview together with the major networks in the country, so that he could explain what happen, what should be done, and who should also be responsible on the Manila Hostage Crisis last Monday.

But instead of a serious discussion, the viewers were once again in another edition of a freak show.

Manila Hostage Crisis: from the TV Network’s Perspective…

I have an opinion on how the Manila Police had handled the situation, and how should they have acted… I also have an opinion on what the Philippine government and its agencies have acted during and after the hostage crisis… And I also have an opinion on how the media should have acted on the crisis, and if they should have imposed (at least) a partial news blackout.

But for this blog, I’ll be talking about the TV presentations of some TV channels during the crisis. As you may know, I’m a TV and News Enthusiast, and News events like this is such big thing… though election coverage will always be on the top of the food chain.

I’ll be starting off with my video montage, though in no particular order or time.

What Reallky Grinds My Gears

I Hate TV Clutters!

Clutter [kluht-er]verb (with object): to fill or litter with things in a disorderly manner; verb (without object): to run in disorder; move with bustle and confusion. (British Dialect); noun: a disorderly heap or assemblage; litter.

YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS? Those awful and distracting TV Clutters that you see on in the middle of your show.

I wish I could do it like Marge...
