What Reallky Grinds My Gears

YOU KNOW WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS? Halatang ikaw na nga yung mali, tapos ikaw pa yung siyang may ganang magyabang! Galing Naman!

I’m an AB Mass Communication student, so I know some of the stuffs I write about, though I still need to learn things like Grammar and Speaking to a one or more person without being tense. Anyways, one of the things that they teach is about your information being correct as much as possible. Check and Double Check kumbaga. Pero kung magkamali, magsulat agad ng ERRATUM (o ERRATA kung marami).

I know the biggest newspapers do that… ABS-CBN also do that whenever these errors have been detected… ABC News Australia has a dedicated page for corrections on their news broadcasts… hell, BBC News has a programme dedicated to correct these errors on their news programmes!

Though we don’t want to be proud about this, but why can’t we? We at ZEN Otaku Honbu are also humans who make mistakes!

Now for the main topic, If you are checking out ZEN Otaku Honbu these past few days, you may have seen this article. But then, the information that has been listed on the said article was disputed, and it turns out that there was INDEED errors that need to be corrected.

I know I should have sticked to our instincts not to follow the bottom part of AnimeNewsNetwork, which is a user-generated portion of the page, but I guess because of experience that was the first thing to visit for additional info about an anime.

Ok, we have seen info on Gundam 00′s page… but the very interesting (and irritating thing) is, the source indicated on the particular information was “www.lapat-tinig.com” Ok, who the efff are you to use the official site of the dubbing association, where your info actually came from AN UNTRUSTED SOURCE, like TV5Kommunity forums (and probably even our forums)… which is probably in anarchy right now… and definitely an untrusted source. And I think the thing that they do over there are mere guesses! Kung sino ang natutunugan nila, yun ang iko-consider nilang nag-dub! Pero take note na pwedeng siya, pero pwedeng hindi rin siya!

Tapos kung paano pa siya umasta, para kami pa tuloy ang mali! At parang sinasabi sa amin na “bakit ka nagpa-uto sa mga kalokohan ko!?!” KAPAL!

“I try to make changes when it appears.” LOLWHAT?! Saan galing naman, at sino ang magiging proof mo? Yun ang magiging tanong.

Grabe, kung paano mo ituring yung isang kakilala natin parang subordinate mo! Bakit mo pe-pwersahin mo yung tao na kilalanin yung cast ng isang partikular anime, eh pinaliwanagan ka na nga nga hindi niya alam dahil hindi siya kasama sa buong team! Ang Galing Mo!

I won’t be naming names, pero PLEASE LANG ay ayusin mo naman ang mga info mo… kung sino ka man! Huwag mong i-damay ang dubbing organisation, ang network, at ang ZEN Otaku Honbu sa kalokohan mo! “kung ano sana ‘yung pagkaka-alam niya, ilagay niya at ipangalan niya sa sarili niya.”, sabi ng isa kong kaibigan.

And that’s what really grinds my gears.
